they understand wild turkeys are native to North American Forests, so ensure their natural habitat is replicated as much as possible so they remain happy and healthy in grassy paddocks and meadows. their traditional bronze turkeys live a genuinely free-range life on the family-run farm in Tenterden and are slow grown to ensure their proper well-being. They are fed a natural cereal-based diet consisting of wheat, soya bean, barley, rape seed extract, minerals, herbal powder, and natural herbs. Their feed is completely free of antibiotics and growth promoters so that you get the healthiest meat on the market this Christmas.
the john Howe farmers hand pluck all our bronze turkeys to avoid the negative effects on the quality of the turkey that you get with wet plucking. They are also hung for a minimum of 2 weeks in temperature-controlled rooms to achieve maximum flavour and tenderness. Our fresh bronze turkeys bring the true taste of Christmas with moist and flavourful meat that brings a generous amount of white and dark meat, especially when choosing our whole turkeys!
